Sumter, SC….. Charlene Elizabeth Goodman, age 76, devoted mother and grandmother, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at her residence.
Charlene was born in Asbury Park, New Jersey, a daughter of the late Charles Bailey and Ruth Wise. She would later find her home in Sumter, SC where she worked as a dedicated insurance representative and field agent for the U.S. Census Bureau. She loved spending time with her dogs, Pup and Protégé, but above all else, Charlene will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Charlene is survived by her son, Alex Goodman III and his wife Sonya of Florida; her brother, Marvin Parker; and her grandchildren, Alex Goodman Esquire and Charlene L. Goodman.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Alex Goodman Jr. and her daughter, Toi Elizabeth Goodman.
A graveside service will be held at Temple Sinai Cemetery on Monday, February 24, 2025, at 12:00 p.m.
