Cheryl West Obituary
Sumter, SC … Cheryl Lynn West, age 66, died on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Prisma Health Tuomey.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Hoyt Watson West and Joanne Mitchell West. Cheryl graduated from Hillcrest High School in Sumter, SC and then went on to serve 8 years in the United States Army. After her separation from the army, she went to work and ultimately retired from the Veterans Administration. She will be remembered as a very loving sister, aunt, and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Cheryl is survived by her siblings, Carol, Darrell (Ling), Valerie (Ed), Craig (Luci), Kimberly, Leslie, Tracy, Randy, and Neil, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Kenny West.
A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
