Connie Duerene Roberts Black

Sumter, SC……………….. Connie Duerene Roberts Black, age 71, beloved wife of the late Roger Dale Black, died on Saturday, October 21st, 2023 at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

Mrs. Black was born in Conway, SC, a daughter of the late Leo Macy Roberts and Nancy Grainger Roberts. She loved people and her family and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors are: Two daughters, Shannon Evans and Amanda Hudman, of Sumter, SC; One sister, Emogene Haddon and her husband Marvin of Wedgefield, SC; Four grandchildren, Zachary Evans, Jacob Smith, Courtney Evans, and Cadie Smith; and Two great-grandchildren, Jaxon Evans and Chayce Hughes.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers, Wayne Roberts and Joseph Roberts.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, October 28th, 2023 at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Phil Simun officiating.

The family will receive friends from 11:00am-12:00pm, Saturday, October 28th, 2023 at Bullock Funeral Home.
