Las Vegas, NV …. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Cynthia “Cindy” Haneck, who left us on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at the age of 78 in Centennial Hills Hospital, Las Vegas, NV. from respiratory failure.
Born on February 23, 1947, in Mt. Pleasant, MI, she was the daughter of the late George L. Nolen and Florence “Virginia” Presgraves Yawn along with her stepfather, Edgar Yawn who assisted in raising her. Cindy lived the happiest years of her life in Sumter, SC working primarily as a bank teller and finally as a bartender for many years at the Midland Retirement Military Association. Throughout her life her life, Cindy touched the hearts of many and was known for her ability to immediately connect to people with her friendly personality and ability to make people laugh. She has left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Cindy is survived by her two sons, David A. Kingery and wife Tammy of Neeses, SC, and Douglas A. Kingery of Las Vegas, NV; her brother, Edward Yawn and wife Mary Rose (Flower) of Clarksville, TN; four grandchildren, Chelsea, Madison, Michael, and Nathan; five great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Cindy was preceded in death by two brothers, Danny Nolen and Ernest Watkins and a sister, Patricia Sigmon.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, at 11: am in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will immediately follow the service in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
A celebration of Cindy’s life will continue on Friday, April 4, 2025, after the burial] at Midland Retirement Military Association where friends and family will gather to honor and remember Cindy’s remarkable journey.
Cindy will be deeply missed, but her spirit will remain in our hearts forever. May she rest in peace.
