David Dwayne Jones

Wedgefield, SC….David Dwayne Jones, age 62, beloved husband of the late Carolyn Jones, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at McLeod Health Clarendon Hospital.

David was born in Florence, SC, a son of the late Boyce Rose Jones and the late Sarah Elizabeth Anderson Jones. David was known for his love of cars, fixing them, talking about them, and racing them. He was a funny guy who could tell a good story. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help others. He will be lovingly remembered as a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and cherished friend.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, David Hearrell and his wife Rhonda, Christopher Hearrell, Samuel Hearrell and his wife Tampla, and Shawn Hearrell; his daughter, Tammy Rogers and her husband Mike, Jr.; his brothers, Ronald Jones, Donald Jones and his fiancé Sherry, Douglas Jones and his wife Crystal, Russell Jones and his wife Katie, Ray Jones and his wife Sara, Robert Jones and his wife Anita, Billy Jones and his wife Anne; his sisters, Janet Jones and her husband Patrick, Francis Waninger, and Debra Barfield; eighteen grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, George Waninger.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 3:00-4:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 4:00 pm at the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel.
