Deanna Alene (Parsons) Conley

Sumter, SC ….. Deanna Alene Parsons Conley, age 74, beloved wife of 55 years to Charles Ray Conley, Sr., passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021.

Born in Ashland, KY, she was the daughter of the late Troy Emerson and the late Verna Dixon Parsons.  Deanna was a faithful member of Shaw Heights Baptist Church.  She served the church as a pianist and organist and taught both the Sparks Awana Club and was a 4 year old weekday pre-school teacher for twelve years.  She loved to play the piano and sing with her family.  She will be remembered as a very loving wife, mother, sister, and friend.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her husband Charles, she is survived by one son, Charles “Chuckie” Conley, Jr. of Dalzell; two daughters, Sandra Conley, and Catherine Conley, both of Dalzell; and two sisters, Bonnie Asbury of Catlettsburg, KY and Cathy Abney and her husband Jon of Westwood, KY.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Troy Parsons, Jr. and a sister, Pam Simpson.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 12:00 pm in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Robert White officiating.  Interment will follow the service in the Ft. Jackson National Cemetery at 2:00 pm.

The family will receive friends, one hour prior to the service, on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 11:00-12:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
