Debra M. Hunt

Debra M. Hunt, age 72, died on Monday, May 12, 2025, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital.

Debra was born in Sumter, SC, the daughter of Margie O. Wilson and the late Cecil H. Wilson Jr. Debra retired from Pilgrim’s Pride where she enjoyed working as an accounting specialist for many years. Her greatest joy in life was her family and her grandchildren. Debra will be remembered as a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be sorely missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Debra is survived by her daughters; Jami Lynn Coker and her husband Bryan of New Zion, and Jessica Leigh Whitler and her husband Bobby of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, her brothers; John N. Wilson and his wife Monica of Summerton, and Cecil H. Wilson III of Summerton, and three grandchildren; Allen Whitler, Chase Whitler, and Katherine Lewis, and her faithful companion, Ophy, her cat.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Randal Bruce Martin, Reggie Craig Martin, and Ronald Gary Martin.  

A memorial service will be held at Manning Baptist Temple on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 4:00 p.m.
