Across your area, an individual impersonating a funeral home employee is contacting families and demanding payment over the phone. Please know that we will never call you and ask for payment over the phone. Do not give the caller your information or money! Hang up and call the police. And if you're ever unsure about anything to do with your loved one, please call the funeral home and speak with your funeral director.

Sumter, SC…. Diana Lee Hurlburt Decker, age 81, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025, at National Healthcare, Sumter.
Diana was born in Eugene, Oregon, a daughter of the late Arlus Hurlburt and the late Ellen McCool Hurlburt. Diana dedicated her life to caring for others through her work as a nurse. Her passion was nurturing newborns, and she spent much of her career in the NICU at Richland Memorial Hospital, where her gentle touch and unwavering compassion made a lasting impact. Outside of her profession, Diana was a vibrant and creative soul. She found joy in gardening, painting, and crafting; each hobby a reflection of her artistic spirit and remarkable talent. As a single mother, she raised four children with deep love, wisdom, and strength. Her kindness, resilience, and tireless work ethic were evident in everything she did. Diana will be remembered not only for her dedication and creativity but also for her infectious sense of humor, which brought light and laughter to those around her. Diana will be remembered as a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Michael Decker and Keven Decker, her daughters, Michelle Wilson and her husband Ted Wilson, Jr., and Kimberly Brown, her brother, Gene Hurlburt, and her grandchildren, Brittany Scoggin, Michael Decker, Jr., Morgan Brown, Mackenzie Wilson, Ted Wilson III and her faithful furry companions, Cooper, Missy, and Aladar.
