Donna Lillian McCutchen

Sumter, SC….Donna Lillian McCutchen, age 89, beloved wife to the late Ernest D. McCutchen, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at NHC Healthcare of Sumter.

Mrs. McCutchen was born in Kingstree, SC, a daughter of the late James Linder Allen and Theresa Mims Allen. She worked at Coker’s Department Store and retired from the S.C. Department of Social Services after 25 ½ years. Donna volunteered at Tuomey Hospital after retirement.

Survivors are: Two sons, Alan McCutchen of Lawton, OK, and Gary McCutchen and his wife Hillary of Catawba, SC; One daughter, Linda Harris and her husband John of Wedgefield, SC; One brother, Milton Allen and his wife Brenda of Florence, SC; Five grandchildren, Tiffany McCutchen, Krystle Sherman, Kerrington Harris, Nathan McCutchen, and Ross McCutchen; and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, James “Jimmy” Allen, Keith Allen and Charles Allen; and two sisters, Theresa “Faye” Allen and Carol Allen.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Friday, March 21st, 2025 at the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ron Richardson officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Nathan McCutchen, Ross McCutchen, John Harris, Gary McCutchen, Alan McCutchen, and Steven Sherman, Jr.

The family will receive friends On Thursday, March 20th, 2025, from 6:00-7:00pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
