Sumter, SC… Dr. Robert Laverne Cribb, age 72, beloved husband of fifty-three years to Cindy Britt Cribb, died on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at his residence.
Born in Andrews, he was the son of the late Bernice Edward Cribb Sr. and Annie Mae Ray Pugh. He served his country in the US Army 1st Infantry Division and was a Vietnam Veteran. Dr. Cribb was the founder of On Wings of Praise Ministries. He was a minister and evangelist for many years and did mission work in both the Dominican Republic and Haiti. He will be remembered as a devoted and beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend.
In addition to his wife Cindy, he is survived by two daughters, Christy Lynn Cribb, and Melinda Lee Cribb all of Sumter; one brother, Edward Cribb and his wife Linda of Cary, NC; two sisters, Ann
Denney and her husband James of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and Eloise Reynolds and her husband Gordon of Sumter; four grandchildren, Taylor Cribb McLeod, Morgan Clement, Robyn Cribb, and Hunter Clement; and two great grandchildren, Shayne McLeod, and Hannah Grace McLeod.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Mickel Cribb.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 10:00 am in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Morris officiating. The interment with military honors will be held in the Ft. Jackson National Cemetery at 12:00 pm.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
