Earl Joyner Mason, Sr.

Sumter, SC …. Earl Joyner Mason, Sr., age 54, died on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at his residence.

Born in Worcester, MA, he is the son of George William Mason, Sr. and Frances Elaine Mitchum Fleming.  Earl served a short time in the US Navy, however most of his life was spent working as a carpenter.  Earl was the owner of Carolina Construction & Remodeling, better known as CCR.  He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and was an avid pinball player.  He will be remembered as a very loving son, father, brother, grandfather and friend.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Earl J. Mason, Jr. and his wife Sarah of Ft. Mill, SC; a daughter, Olivia Mason of Charlotte, NC; two brothers, George William Mason, Jr. and his wife Susan of Huntersville, NC, and Keith Mason and his wife Katherine of Mooresville, NC; two sisters, Penny Lewis and her husband Chad, and Stephanie Mathis and her husband Derek, both of Charleston, SC, and one grandchild Margot Mason.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 2:00 pm in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, from 1:00-2:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
