Sumter, SC….Edward Vance Andrews, age 67, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2026, at his home.
Vance was born in Manning, SC, a son of the late David Benjamin Andrews and the late Ruby Ann Heriot. Vance was a talented guitarist that performed with many local bands. He was a lifelong Atlanta Braves fan. He was known for his kindness and generosity; he was always willing to help a friend. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
Vance is survived by his daughters, Carmen Lenee Davis and her husband James Brian of Sumter, and Rachel Ann Andrews of Hilton Head; and his sister, Paula Tannenbaum and her husband Lloyd of Tennessee.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, David Benjamin Andrews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 4:00-6:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 5, 2026, at 12:00 pm at the Paxville Baptist Church Cemetery.
