Edward Eric Hamilton

Sumter, SC…Edward Eric Hamilton, age 67, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024.

Born March 26, 1957 in Wilmington, Ohio, he is the son of Edward George Hamilton and the late Helen Delores Hamilton. He always had a smile and loved joking around with his family. He was a very accomplished mechanic at O.J. Hallman’s where he worked from 1979 – 2007, and enjoyed working on his boats in his spare time. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and brother. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila Dell Hodges Hamilton; two sons, Eric Hamilton (Ashleigh) of Sumter, SC, Brett Hamilton (Kristen) of Sumter, SC; three daughters, Brittany Hamilton of Sumter, SC, Amanda Stanley (Jason) of Sumter, SC, Laura Wasson (Mike) of Panama City, FL; three sisters, Marjorie Jane Hallman (Ron) of Sumter, SC, Victoria Ann Aytes of Kansas, Denise Elaine Carr (Rick) of Columbia, SC; one sister-in-law, Brenda Coder (Tommy) of Rembert, SC;13 grandchildren, Ella, Ava, Aryanna, Landon, Cameron, Kylie, Chloe, Sophia, Caden, Cale, Caris, J.t., and Emily.

A visitation service will be held at Bullock Funeral Home on Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 3:00 – 5:00 P.M.
