Elaine Joyce (Paronto) Poirier

Elaine Joyce Paronto Poirier, age 90, beloved wife to the late Joseph Poirier, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center in Hartsville, SC.

Elaine was born in Burlington, Vermont, a daughter of the late Roland Paronto and Vila Hart Paronto. Elaine loved playing bingo and going to the casino. She worked on the base as a gas station attendant for over 20 years. She will be remembered as a strong woman who fiercely loved her family. Elaine will be dearly missed by all who know and love her.

Elaine is survived by her daughter, Denise Poston and her husband John of Sumter, SC; her brother, Gerald Paronto and his wife Jackie of Florida; her grandchildren, Candace Finethy and her husband Matthew, Samantha Hackle and her husband Joseph, Brandon Poston, and Cody Poston, her greatgrandchildren, Levi Hackle and Koda Hackle, and her special companion of 10 years, her dog, Popi.  

In addition to her parents and husband, Elaine is preceded in death by her son, Stephen Poirier, and her daughters, Michelle Poirier and Donna Little.

A graveside service will be held at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 12:00 p.m.
