Elizabeth Konanui, 92 originally of Opihikao, Puna who resided in Sumter South Carolina, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022, at home in Sumter, South Carolina. She was born on May 16, 1930, in Kalapana, Hawaii.
She was a homemaker who loved sewing and quilting her “crazy” blankets for her Ohana and friends as well as her cherished Hawaiian Quilts which she feathered stitched and won multiple awards for. She lived a long and blessed life from Hawaii to South Carolina.
She is survived by son. Howard (Jane) Konanui, of Keaau. daughter’s Sheila Lehua (Harold) Aiona of Pahoa and Janet Pikake (Thomas) Gladden of Sumter, South Carolina. Daughter in law, Gladys Konanui, Sister-in-law, Winnie Enriquez of Pahoa, Brother-in-law, Bernard (Doreen) Konanui of Keaau; ten grandchildren and great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will be celebrating her 93rd birthday and her Celebration of Life on May 20, 2023, at the Pahoa Sacred Heart Church, 15-3003 Pahoa Village Rd, Pahoa, Hawaii 96778.
