Frank Duncan Blackmon

Sumter, SC…. Frank Duncan Blackmon, age 84, beloved husband of 42 years to the late Barbara Blackmon, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at his home.

Frank was born in Nichols, SC, a son of the late Bartow Blackmon and the late Tietha Cox Blackmon. He was a hardworking man devoted to his family. A talented mechanic with a special love for Ford Mustangs and Dodge Demons, and an avid brim fisherman, he lived life with purpose and kindness. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His absence leaves a deep void, and he will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Frankie Blackmon and his wife Youssra of Sumter, SC, Jeffery Benjamin Blackmon and his wife Ria of Sumter, SC; his daughter, Barbara Ann Nichole Blackmon of Sumter, SC; his brothers, Carlisle Blackmon and his wife Mary of Dillon, SC, and Terry Blackmon of Dillon, SC; his sister, Carolyn Blackmon; and his grandchildren, Jessica Blackmon, Elaine Blackmon, and Jeffery Blackmon.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Blackmon, and his sister, Virginia Blackmon.
