Gerald Henderson Rattz

Dalzell, SC….. Gerald Henderson Rattz, age 83, beloved husband of 63 years to Sharon Jane Frost Rattz, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

Gerald was born in Wilmington, NC, a son of the late Milford Columbus Rattz, and the late Lena Henderson Rattz. Gerald was a member of the Dalzell Methodist Church. He served honorably in the United States Air Force for 26 years, after which he retired as a Vietnam Veteran with the rank of Senior MSgt. He later retired from Westinghouse-Cutler Hammer after 15 years. He was a loving husband, father, and grandpa who will be dearly missed.

In addition to his wife, left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Teresa Law and her husband, Rudy Singleton of Dalzell, and Angela Tyler of Macon, GA; six grandchildren, Dr. Gabriela Cox and her husband Chris, Julia Middlebrook and her husband Kyle, Alyssa Law and her fiancé Jacob, Kimberly Arroyo, Takiem Tyler, and Kyree Tyler, and 7 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Reggie Rattz.

A funeral service with full military honors will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Dalzell Methodist Church, with the Rev. Josh Colvin officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 29, 2026, from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Dalzell Methodist Church.
