Gertrude Mae Pollard

Sumter, SC…. Gertrude Mae Pollard, age 86, beloved wife of 66 years to Paul Edward Pollard, died on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at her home.

Gertrude was born in Ashland, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late John Tingle and Wava Albright Stott. She was a member of the Episcopal Church. Growing up in the mountains of Pennsylvania inspired Gertrude’s great love of the outdoors, she also loved to cook, but her greatest love was her family. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters; Cindy Young and her husband Ralph of Dalzell, Tammy McKenzie and her husband Bo of Sumter, Jennifer Naylor and her husband Jimmy of Dalzell; her grandchildren, Christopher Fostervold and his wife Jennifer, Joshua McKenzie and his wife Bree, Brittany Morris and her husband McKenzie; her great grandchildren, CJ, Braden, Jaelynn, Cameron, Gauge, Caleb, Levi, and Annabelle.

She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kari Fostervold and her brother, Earl Stott.

Services will be private.
