Wedgefield SC …. Glenn Paul Miller, age 67, beloved husband of 33 years to Edith Elaine Rourk Miller, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital.
Born in Norfolk, VA, he was the son of the late Glenn Elsworth Miller and Mary Alice Ellis Miller. Glenn served in the US Air Force and then transitioned into the US Navy where he eventually retired. A strong man of faith, he attended Faith Christian Fellowship Church. He loved singing in the choir as well as fishing and playing golf. Glenn enjoyed watching both football and baseball and was an avid fan of the Baltimore Ravens and the Baltimore Orioles. He will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his wife, Edith, he is survived by; two daughters, Sarah Alice Miller and her husband Edward Larson Hodge, III of Wedgefield, and Mary Miller of Goose Creek, SC; a brother, Walter Carl Miller and his wife Lynne of Newport News, VA; a sister, Marguerite Wright and her husband Scott of Jacobus, PA; a brother-in-law, Randy Rourk and his wife Robin of Hanahan, SC; a sister-in-law, Katherine Crouse and her husband Joe of Monks Corner, and two grandchildren, Tru and Mariah.
He was preceded in death by his niece, Michelle Wright, his in-laws Jesse Hugo Rourk and Edith Louise Rourk, a nephew, Daniel Robinson, and a brother in law, Jesse Hugo Rourk.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, from 1:00-3:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home. We will conclude the celebration of life with military honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Christian Fellowship Church, 2938 Raccoon Rd., Manning, SC 29102 or to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
