Harold "Mark" Morgan, Jr. Obituary

Mark grew up in Rock Hill, South Carolina. He attended and graduated from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, where he met the love of his life, Betty "Bet" Parker. Together, they shared 55 wonderful years of marriage, building a home and raising their two daughters and son.

Mark spent the first few decades of his career in management before transitioning to a second career pursuing his lifelong passion for photography. He built a successful photography business which he proudly ran until his retirement in 2021. He especially cherished working side-by-side with his wife and best friend, Bet, creating a partnership in work just as they had in life.

Beyond his professional talents, Mark was a lifelong learner with a sharp, curious mind. He was an avid reader who spent countless hours studying history, holding a particular fascination for the Civil War and World Wars. He was also a master craftsman and ultimate handyman who could build, fix, or repair anything he set his mind to. Armed with extensive tools and an enviable workshop, he took immense pride in keeping their home in pristine condition. If Bet could dream it, Mark could build it; he had the skill and devotion to make it a reality.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Bet; his children, Jennette Morgan Willoughby and her husband Wyatt, Wesley "Wes" Morgan, and Suzanne Morgan Dhinoy and her husband Nav; his granddaughters, Morgan and Lauren Willoughby; his sister, Karen Paullin and her husband Mark Paullin.
