Wedgefield, SC .......... Iris Lynne Long, age 65, beloved wife of Kelly Luck Long, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025, at her residence.
Born in Bartow, FL, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Long and Zona Starling Long. Iris received a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina with a double major in business management and finance. Iris was also a member of the US Air Force and served country proudly for over 12 years. She was a lover of all animals, but had a deep affection for her horses, cats and her beloved dog, Baylee. She enjoyed taking care of her animals and found tranquility from the life she had living on her farm. Iris was a very strong woman and carried that fight against her illness with outstanding courage and dignity.
In addition to her wife, Kelly, she is survived by her three sons, Tommy Long of Sumter, SC, Max Havens of Wedgefield, SC, and Matthew Dunson of Columbia, SC, and a sister, Angela “Kim” Long of Bartow, FL.
