James Strange Jr. Obituary
Sumter, SC ….. James “Pete” Rayvelle Strange Jr., age 66, died on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at his residence.
Born in Sumter, SC, he was the son of the late James “Jim” Rayvelle Strange Sr. and Betty Ann Nichols Strange. Pete was a free spirited, hardworking man with a great sense of humor. Pete was an avid Nascar fan; and raced at Sumter Speedway in car #24. His true joy in life came from spending time with his family. He will be remembered as a very loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by; a son Michael Strange (Kimberly) of Morrisville, NC; a step-daughter Tiffany (Michael) Barrs of Sumter: a brother, Kevin Strange (Sandra) of Sumter, and a sister Donna Strange of Pelion, SC; six grandchildren, Brennah Craig, Beth Strange, Jaidyn Strange, Devin Barrs, Taylor Barrs, and Riley Jade Barrs; and three great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at 2:00pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
