Jamie Todt Obituary

James “Jamie” Andrew Todt, age 61, passed away peacefully at Prisma Health Richland Medical Center on September 19th, 2025.

Born in Athens, Greece on July 21st, 1964 to Ret. Col. William “Bill” Todt and Mrs. Elizabeth “Betty” Todt, Jamie was the youngest of four siblings, Mark Todt (Frankie), Robin Todt, Michael Todt (Sa). Jamie was raised in a loving household and spent his childhood traveling overseas as a child of an airforce pilot. The Todt family moved to Myrtle Beach Air Force Base in the 1980s where they settled permanently in South Carolina.

Jamie met Kimberley “Kim” Todt at Socastee High School and were eventually married in 1991. Kim and Jamie were married for 19 years and remained lifelong friends after their marriage. Together they have two children, Jessica Todt Hudson (William 'DJ" Hudson) of Charlotte, NC and Ryan William Todt, of Myrtle Beach, SC. Jamie was a devoted father and was incredibly proud of his children.

Jamie was an exceptional athlete and widely known as both a talented tennis player and a skilled golfer. Jamie played tennis for Socastee High School and Francis Marion University. Though Jamie was an undeniably gifted player, he never played for applause. He quietly carried humility on the court – letting his racket speak louder than his ego ever would.

After college, Jamie and his best friend Clint Goodwin bought the Myrtle Beach Racquet Club. As club owners and tennis pros, Clint and Jamie played tournaments and taught lessons for several years. Clint and Jamie have both now passed and are reunited on the court until we meet again.

Jamie spent his professional life as a CPA and eventually began a business in Myrtle Beach with his business partner. They owned a successful firm for several years. Jamie also lived in Sumter, SC and enjoyed offering volunteer landscaping services with his father at St. Anne & St. Jude Catholic Church.

Jamie will be most fondly remembered for his gentle spirit, kindness, sense of humor, and love for his family. He is survived by his parents, siblings, children, nieces, nephews and many friends who were made better by knowing him—and who will carry his memory forward with love and gratitude.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM at St. Anne and St. Jude Roman Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow the service at St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery.
