Janice Ruth Anderson

Sumter, SC….. Janice Ruth Thigpen Anderson, age 64, beloved wife of the late Roy H. Anderson, died on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital.

Janice was born in Sumter, a daughter of the late Earl Thigpen and Doris Dennis Thigpen. She loved facetiming her grandchildren and great grandchildren whenever she had the opportunity. She also enjoyed needleworking. Janice will be remembered as a loving sister, mother, and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Janice is survived by her daughters, Susie Rebecca Nelson and her husband Bryan Nelson of Mississippi and Candy Renee Bailey of Tennessee; her sisters, Debra Nesbitt and her husband Bobby Nesbitt, Joann Thigpen and Marie McConnell and her husband Bob McConnell; her grandchildren, Monique Hodge, Timothy Bailey, Bryant Nelson Jr., Fetisha Nelson and Matthew Bailey; six great grandchildren, and her dear friend, Pam Wells.

In addition to her parents and husband, Janice was preceded in death by her brother, Leland Earl Thigpen.
