John Weible Obituary

Sumter, SC ….. John Dale Weible, age 89, died on Monday, May 16, 2022 at Prisma Health Tuomey.

Born in Lebanon, PA, he was the son of the late John R. Weible and Laura Barry- Weible.  John served in the United States Air Force for over 4 years.  He was a self employed entrepenuer in Sumter and owned  numerous businesses.  He was most known as the owner /operator of Oaklawn Furniture in Sumter.  John loved his dogs, playing cards and corn hole.  He will be remembered as a very loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by;two sons, Danny Weible and his wife Debbie of Sumter and John D. Weible, Jr. and his significant other, Julie Smithson of Sumter; three daughters, Debbie Ashy and her husband Tony of Sumter, Donna W. Thompson of Sumter and Darlene W. Kennington of Tyler TX; former wife, Violet Rowland; ten grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Jimmy Weible and a sister Sue Weible Murphy.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022 at 11:00 am in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Neil DuBose officiating.

Honoarary pallbearers will be Jeff Helms, Jim Rabon and Jeff Sanders.
