Joseph Everett Winfield, Sr.

Goose Creek, SC…..Joey “Hollywood” Winfield, age 63, died on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Roper Hospital in Charleston, SC.

Born in Sumter, SC, he was the son of the late James Everett Winfield and Maria Ophelia DeJesus Winfield. Joey worked at Becton Dickinson for more than 40 years. He was a hardworking, loving and devoted family man who loved to watch his children excel in sports and life. Joey also enjoyed fishing and racing as well as shag dancing. He will be remembered as a devoted father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

Surviving are his three children, Joesph Winfield Jr. and his wife, Brittani of Lexington, SC, Jenna Winfield and her companion, Katie of Summerville, SC, and Robbi Tidwell and her husband Chase of Goose Creek, SC, two brothers, Ronnie Winfield of Sumter, SC and David Winfield and his wife Sarah of Sumter, SC, three grandchildren, Everett, Jeremiah, and Easton, a host of nieces and nephews, and his best friend Melissa “Boo” Singletary.

It is not lost on your children the love and patience you poured into them. We love you always, Dad. Love Joe, Sissy, and Bear.

A visitation with the family will be held at Bullock Funeral Home on Friday, September 6, 2024, from 5:00-6:00 pm.

A funeral service will follow the visitation at the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel at 6:00 pm.
