Across your area, an individual impersonating a funeral home employee is contacting families and demanding payment over the phone. Please know that we will never call you and ask for payment over the phone. Do not give the caller your information or money! Hang up and call the police. And if you're ever unsure about anything to do with your loved one, please call the funeral home and speak with your funeral director.

Sumter, SC…..Karen Yvonne (Huggins) Brabham, age 59, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.
Karen was born in Sumter, SC, a daughter of the late William T. Huggins and Charlotte Katherine Griggs Huggins. She was a former member of Green Acres Church, where she lovingly taught Sunday school. Vibrant and full of life, she embraced every moment and lived life to its fullest. She had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her beloved companions—Cheeky and Moe, her chihuahuas, and Burrito, her pit bull.
Above all, her greatest joy came from her family and grandchildren. She cherished watching them grow, play, and become the people they are today. She will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness touched everyone who knew her.
Her absence will be deeply felt, and her memory will be treasured always.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her daughter, Rebecca Poole, and her husband, Mack of Sumter, her sons, Michael Huggins and Benjamin Huggins both of Sumter; her sisters, Veronica Ferguson of Sumter and Chissie Huggins of Four Oaks, North Carolina, her brother, Leon Norris, and his wife, Wendy of Four Oaks, NC, six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her birth mother, Carolyn Norris of Sumter.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Scooter Huggins.
The family will receive friends at Bullock Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 pm.
You may go to www.bullockfuneralhome.com and sign the family’s guest book.
