Keith Marshall Waugh, born in July of 1942 in Maryport, England, passed away February 24th 2025. surrounded by loved ones. In 1956, Keith emigrated to the United States and settled in Buffalo, New York, where he attended Lafayette High School and later earned a Business Degree from the University of Buffalo. His passion for service led him to enlist in the U.S. Army in 1963, where he served honorably until 1966. Keith was a proud veteran, having completed Airborne School and received numerous commendations, badges, and letters of appreciation throughout his service.
Keith’s life was marked by hard work, dedication, and a wide range of professional experiences. He began his career as the Head of Housekeeping at Horton Memorial Hospital in Middletown, NY, before moving on to become the Parts Department Manager at WorldWide Volkswagen in Orangeburg, NY. He also repaired and maintained RV trailers in Nyack, NY, but it was his work as a tractor trailer driver that became his true passion. For over 40 years, Keith drove across the country, cherishing the open road, until his retirement at the age of 79 in Sumter, SC.
A man of many talents and great charm, Keith was married three times in his life. With his second wife, Jackie, he had a daughter, Brenda. His third marriage to Barbra was the love story that spanned 36 wonderful years. Together, they shared a deep bond, and Barbra was a constant source of love and support. Keith was a beloved father, husband, grandfather, and friend, whose life left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbra Marshall Waugh; his daughter, Brenda DySard, and her husband, Tim DySard; his cherished grandson, Connor Keith Moonan; his niece, Laura Hoffman; his nephew, Eric Hoffman; and a wide circle of in-laws and friends who will remember him with affection.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Elsie and Alfred Waugh, and his sister, Marjorie Hoffman.
Keith will be deeply missed, but his legacy of service, love, and dedication will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
