Sumter, SC…. Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Kenneth H. Morris, Jr. passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. He was honorably retired from the United States Air Force after 21 years of dedicated service; followed by retiring from APEX tools after 20 years. During his 21 years of service he was the recipient of many awards, that included; 12th Air Force Airman of the Year, Leadership School Distinguished Graduate (graduating in the top 10% of his class), Non Commissioned Officer of the Month (several times throughout his Air Force career), Air Combat Command Safety Award (awarded for the rescue and aid to a mother and her children involving a life threatening auto accident), and The Air Force Commendation Medal. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, but most of all spending time with his family and wife of 47 years, Debbie Morris.
In addition to his wife, Kenneth is survived by his son; Daryl Morris and his wife Anna of Great Mills, MD, his daughters; Kristyn Hippensteel and her husband Josh of Chapin, SC, and April Miller and her husband Nick of Dalzell, SC, his brother; Jeff Morris of Essex, MD, his sisters; Sharon Holleran and her husband Keith of Forest Hill, MD, and Sandy Morris of Essex, MD, and ten grandchildren; Nicholas Miller, Jr., Zoe Miller, Shelby Hippensteel, Brooks Morris, Alainy Morris, Sophie Miller, Tyler Hippensteel, Cicely Morris, Calvin Morris and Reese Hippensteel.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Morris, Sr. and Shirley Morris.
A private family ceremony will be held with full military honors to follow.
