Larry Keven Gainey

Dalzell, SC…. Larry Keven Gainey, age 72, beloved husband of 47 years to Hallie Fletcher Gainey died on Monday, August 19, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his family and friends.

Born in Hartsville, SC, he was the son of the late Jackson B. Gainey and Gertrude Mincey Gainey. Larry loved spending time outdoors, especially time on his tractor mowing grass. When he wasn’t on the tractor he also enjoyed spending time playing golf. Larry was always a car enthusiast and had a special love for his Jeep and hotrods. Larry was very social and knew no strangers. He will be remembered as a very loving husband, brother, uncle and friend. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.

In addition to his wife he is survived by; one brother, Wayne Gainey(Claudia) of Sumter, SC; one sister, Susan Languis of Sumter, SC; numerous nieces and nephews in Sumter and Oklahoma City.

A celebration of life will be held at the Church of the Holy Cross, Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 2:00pm.
