Larry Michael Kee

Sumter, SC…Larry Michael Kee, age 72, husband of 36 years to the late Maryanne Jannot Kee, died on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at his residence.

Born in Spencer, WVA, he was a son of the late Harry Lee Kee and Virginia Dare Sinnett Kee.  Larry was a faithful member of The Church of The Holy Comforter.  He worked as a quality control manager of Cooper Tools in Sumter and retired after over 25 years of service.  He was an avid golfer, enjoyed playing cards with his buddies and was a master gardener.  Larry loved all sports especially Penn State football.  More than anything, Larry was a devoted husband to his wife, Maryanne.  He loved his family and will be remembered as a very loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by; a daughter, Michelle Drake and her husband Pete of WVA; three grandchildren, Ashley Drake, Justin Drake and Sarah Drake; four great grandchildren, Christopher, Harleigh, Hunter and Benjamin; a niece, Regan Branstool of Indian Trail, NC and his faithful dog Poogan.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 21, 2020 at 11:00 at The Church of the Holy Comforter.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC  29210.
