Linda Douglas Groth

Sumter, SC…… Linda Douglas Groth, age 64, beloved wife of 15 years to the late Jeffrey Allan Groth, died on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at her home.

She was born in Darlington, SC, the daughter of the late Luke Douglas and Mary Ruth Hayden Douglas.

Linda will be remembered for her loving spirit and her love for her family. She loved to dance and especially enjoyed 70’s music. She also enjoyed gardening and sewing. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.

Surviving are her daughters; Glenda Windham of Sumter and Yolanda Smith and her significant other, Damien Shauf both of Sumter; her son, Brian Keith Windham of Sumter; her brothers, Glen Douglas and his wife Betty of Dalzell, Danny Douglas and his wife Robin of Manning; her sisters, Elaine Smith wife of the late Steve Smith of Sumter, Nina Jerome and her husband Thomas of Colorado, and Cindi Smith and her husband Byron of North Carolina; sister-in-law Judy Douglas, wife of the late Billy Douglas; her grandchildren, Elijah Smith, Ethan Smith, and Remy Shauf; two great grandchildren, Presley Smith and Isla Smith. 

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brothers Albert Hayden and his late wife Beatrice, Billy Douglas and Heyward Douglas.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 12:00-1:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
