Luanne (Abner) DeGastyne

Sumter, SC….  Luanne Abner DeGastyne, age 71, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

Born in Alexandria, VA, she was the daughter of the late Frederick George Abner and Frances Albright Abner.  Luanne was a kind and generous woman who loved all animals and was a friend to everyone.  She was a longtime member of the SGI International community in both Alexandria, VA and in Sumter, SC.   She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by a brother, Alan Abner and his wife Barbara; a sister-in-law, Ellen Abner; two nieces, Denise and Nicole; three nephews, Brett, Brian, and Michael and two close friends, Janet and Sonie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, David Abner.

A visitation will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, from 3:00-4:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.

A memorial service will follow the visitation on Friday, October 25, 2024, at 4:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
