Across your area, an individual impersonating a funeral home employee is contacting families and demanding payment over the phone. Please know that we will never call you and ask for payment over the phone. Do not give the caller your information or money! Hang up and call the police. And if you're ever unsure about anything to do with your loved one, please call the funeral home and speak with your funeral director.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lynda Griffin Masi, age 76, who peacefully passed away on January 28, 2025, at her daughter’s home in Charlotte, NC. A devoted parent, grandparent, and friend, Lynda’s life was marked by her courage, kindness, and unwavering love for her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of joy and warmth that will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Born on November 17, 1948, in Sumter, SC, Lynda was the cherished daughter of the late Henry Griffin and Edith McLeod Griffin. Growing up in Sumter, she was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Lynda worked for many years as a talented and passionate hairdresser, touching the lives of all those who sat in her chair. Outside of her professional life, Lynda had a deep love for dancing, shopping, trivia, and game shows—activities that brought her immense joy. But most of all, Lynda treasured the time she spent with her family and friends, always the first to offer a good time or a helping hand. She was known throughout the community for her generosity, her love for her church, and her devotion to the people she held dear.
Lynda is survived by her loving children, Brooke Sisterhen (Jeff) and Justin Masi (Trang); her adoring grandchildren, Bryce Sisterhen, Dara Sisterhen, Max Masi, Blaise Masi, and Lex Masi; her remaining siblings Ray Griffin, Barbara Griffin Garcia, and Mildred Griffin Osteen; as well as numerous cherished friends and extended family members who will continue to celebrate her life and carry her memory forward.
Lynda was preceded in death by her partner of 13 years, Theodore Glenn, and her siblings: Melvin Griffin, Pearl Griffin Markham, Faye Griffin, Yvonne Griffin Fields, J.C. Griffin, Benny Griffin, Jimmy Griffin, Deborah Griffin McCoy, and Cathy Griffin Morris. She is now reunited with them in peace.
