Margaret Corum Smith

Dalzell, SC…Margaret Corum Smith, age 84, died on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

Born in New Hope, AL, she was the daughter of the late Marion Francis Corum and Alice Cavanaugh Corum. Mrs. Smith was a crafter who enjoyed crocheting and sewing. In addition, she loved walking on the beach looking for seashells. She was a member of Our Lady of the Skies Catholic Church and attended St. Jude Catholic Church.

Surviving are: four daughters, Margaret “Peggy” Dickerson of Dalzell, Alice Fletcher of California, Cindy Corum and her husband Wayne of California and Brenda Kent of Georgia; nine grandchildren, Allison, Brion, Christin, Cody, Desireé Heather, Jeramy, Mark, and Stacy; seventeen great grandchildren; and one brother, Lawrence Corum and his wife Patricia of Dalzell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Arthur K. Smith, two sisters, Theresa Goff, and Marion Senavilla and three brothers, John Courm, Joseph Corum, and Paul Corum.

A funeral mass will be held on Monday, May 24, 2021 at 11:00 am at St. Jude Catholic Church with Fr. Rev. Giovannie Nunez, CRM officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Lawrence Catholic Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 23, 2021 from 5:00-6:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
