Mary Lou (Hudson) Lair

Sumter, SC… Mary Lou Hudson Parker Lair, age 94, beloved wife of 37 years to Dale Eugene Lair, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2026, at home surrounded by loved ones.  

Mary was born on September 5, 1932, in Mansfield, Ohio, to Jack and Ethel Hudson.

She is survived by her husband, Dale E. Lair of Dalzell, SC; three sons, Larry Parker (Toni) of Dalzell, SC; Bill Lair (Debra) of Pahrump, NV; Richard Lair (Beth) of Rutherfordton, NC; one Daughter, Holly Racer (Terry) of Dalzell, SC; and two grandchildren, April Parker of Florida and Jessica Ausmus of Florida.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by six brothers, four sisters, and one son, Barry Parker (Patti).

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Alexandria Scott officiating.

The family will be receiving friends at the family residence.
