Sumter, SC…Michael Woodrow “Woody” Baird, beloved husband and best friend of Renee Baird, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 14, 2020, at Prisma Health Tuomey.
Born on March 6, 1940, in Bishopville, SC, he was the son of the late Woodrow B. Baird and Margaret Lucille Clowney Baird. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Theodore “Tad” S. Baird (Cathy), step-son, Charles Sorrell (Laura Ann) of TN, two sisters, Linda B. Love of FL, Janice B. Wilson of FL, sister-in-law, Gisela Brown (Charles) of Sumter, daughter-in-law, Sharon Caywood (Jim) of Sumter. Two grandchildren, Holleigh Warren (Brantlee), Brittnay Collins. Two great grandchildren; and a number of nieces, cousins; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Woodrow Baird Jr.
Due to Covid-19 guidelines, the family will not receive visitors.
Services will be private.
