Michael Ethan McLaughlin

Rembert, SC…… Michael Ethan McLaughlin, age 30, died on Saturday, October 28, 2023.

Born in Sumter, he was the son of William H. McLaughlin, Sr., and Terrie Rouse McLaughlin. Michael graduated from Sumter Christian Academy and went on to attend Central Carolina Technical College where he graduated with an associate degree in Applied Science and Technology and was a certified advanced CNC programmer.  He worked in his family’s business at McLaughlin Ford and went on to work for Roush-Yates Racing. Michael was known for his funny and engaging personality.  He loved to cook, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. He will be remembered as a loving son, brother, and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his brother, Samuel McLaughlin, and sister Sarah McLaughlin and grandmother, Nancy Rouse.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023, at 11:00 am in the Horeb Cemetery with Rev. Ron Bower officiating.
