Dalzell, SC……………………….Michael “Mike” W. Stepp, age 73, died on Saturday, May 18th, 2024, at his home after a battle with Parkinson’s.
Mr. Stepp was born in Rowan County, NC and was adopted and raised in the loving home of Theodore and Gilberta A. Stepp. He retired from the U.S. Air Force where he worked in the fire department. After retirement he worked at McEntire A.N.G. Base and then Safe Federal Credit Union. For many years, he loved serving at Shaw Heights Baptist Church.
Survivors are: Three daughters, Michelle Odell (Ron) of Dalzell, SC, Donna Warren of Clinton, NC, and Sherry Beaman of Dalzell, SC; Two sisters, Anita Graham of Salisbury, NC, and Ann Spong of West End, NC; and Six grandchildren, Cody Stepp, Todd Odell, Gage Odell, Jett Odell, Rylie Warren and Harrison Warren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Shirley Stepp.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Shaw Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Bob White officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 1:00-2:00 pm at Shaw Heights Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shaw Heights Baptist Church, 2030 Peach Orchard Rd., Sumter, SC 29154.
