Michelle Wand Herod

Lugoff, SC…………………… Michelle Wand Herod, age 68, died on Friday, August 9th, 2024 at MUSC Medical Center in Charleston, SC.

Ms. Herod was born in Harlingen, TX, the daughter of the late Donald Wand & Claire Duplessis Wand Black. She owned and operated the Sub Station II in Camden, SC for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed bird watching, gardening, pottery and playing the clarinet in the Sumter Symphony Orchestra. Michelle attended Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church.

Survivors are: Two sons, Matthew Herod and his wife Christi of Florence, SC, and Ben Herod and his wife Charlotte of Sumter, SC; Two brothers, Donald Wand and his wife Kathleen of Lincolnton, NC, and Steve Wand and his wife Julie of Jacksonville, NC; Five sisters, Anne Goodson and her husband Max of Sumter, SC; Connie Robertson and her husband Butch of Hickory, NC, Chris Wand of Columbia, SC, Jennifer Hicks (Bill Lynch) of Lexington, SC, and Catherine McInnis and her husband Dave of Sumter, SC; and Five granddaughters, Rachel Herod, Emma Herod, Avery Kate Herod, Hadley Herod and Zoey Herod.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Martin Lewis Wand.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00pm, Monday, August 12th, 2024 in the St. Lawrence Cemetery with the Rev. Ron Bower officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00am, Monday, August 12th, 2024 at Bullock Funeral Home.
