Obituary for Pandora V. Cranford
Pandora V. Cranford, 71, was born on September 22, 1953, in Dover, Delaware, to the late Thomas Cobb Sr. and Lola E. Cobb. She parted this life on September 26, 2024, at White Oak Manor in Newberry, South Carolina.
Pandora graduated from Caesar Rodney High School in Dover, Delaware. She studied Psychology for two years at Delaware State until she decided that she needed a career change. After leaving school, she met and married a handsome young man, enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, gave birth to the most beautiful baby girl, and was later blessed with a handsome baby boy. She would go on to serve 14 years in the military as an Administrative Assistant. Her primary job was organizing, managing, and keeping the executive office running. This included tracking training and administrative requirements for fighter pilots, to include logging flight hours, post flight debriefs and the proper intake and storage of the aircraft's black box. Previous duty stations include Howard AFB, Panama, Scott AFB, Illinois, and Shaw AFB, South Carolina. Pandora loved to stay fit by playing her two favorite sports: racquetball and softball. Her fierceness on the racquetball court led to her win two consecutive titles as the Shaw AFB Women's Racquetball Champion, as well as the Shaw AFB overall Base Champion. She played softball with an awesome team of ladies that became a sisterhood of friends and would go on to win multiple titles as the Shaw AFB Women's Softball Champions for 5 years straight. Pandora had an electric vibe with a larger-than-life personality. She never met a stranger and if you had the pleasure of knowing her, you either loved her, or you knew not to mess with her! She always spoke her mind, stood her ground, and she always danced to the beat of her own drum. She was loved, and she will be missed.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories, her children; daughter Tamika D. Carroll (Chablis) of Little Rock, Arkansas and son, Dewayne T. Cranford of Chesterfield, South Carolina; A very special friend,Tyrone "Tygah" Wilson of Sumter, South Carolina; grandchildren, Kiera C. Haskins, Rico Dukes, and Chablis Carroll Jr., of Little Rock, Arkansas; great grandchildren, Audin L. Haskins (Kiera) and Zyonn T. Dukes (Rico); brothers Ferris Abrams of California; Thomas Cobb Jr. of Wilmington, Delaware; Roger Cobb of Dover, Delaware, and Efrem Cobb of Smyrna, Delaware; and sisters, Jeanette Glass, Star Hill, Delaware; Lolita Cobb of Dover, Delaware; ex-husband, Dewayne G.
