Patricia Lynne (Counts) Brummitt

Patricia Counts Brummitt, born Patricia Lynne Counts, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital after a long struggle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Ms. Brummitt was a Corrections Officer with the South Carolina Department of Corrections from 1988 until 1995, when she was medically retired.
Patrica was preceded in death by her son, Lucas Aaron Brummitt, and her parents, Edward Carmack Counts and Virginia Bright Counts.
She is survived by her sons, Josh Counts Brummitt, Sumter, SC, and Steven Patrick Brummitt, Stuttgart, Germany, her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Michelle Chin Brummitt, Stuttgart, Germany and her sisters Sandra Arrington, Bristol, VA, Glenda Sykes, Lebanon VA, and Ginger Kinkead, Bristol TN, and Ms. Brummitt’s special friend Ms. Cylisa Quarles, Sumter SC.

A visitation will be held at Bullock Funeral Home, 1190 Wilson Hall Road, Sumter, South Carolina, on Friday, December 12, 2025. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m.
