Patricia Williams Foster

Spring Hill, SC… Patricia Williams Foster of Sumter, South Carolina, passed away at the age of 93 on Thursday, October 26, 2023, in West Columbia, SC.

Born on March 20, 1930, in Sumter, SC, she was the daughter of the late Barnie L. Williams and Christine Kolb Williams.  Pat earned an undergraduate degree in English at the University of South Carolina.

Pat is survived by two sons, Dan L. Trotter of Spring Hill, SC, and Richard Williams Trotter of Homestead, FL; a daughter, Christina Trotter Shadwell of Spring Hill, SC; one brother, Dr. Barney Williams of Sumter; one sister, Christine Hammond Williams of Spartanburg, SC; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Carter.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at 12:00 pm in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with Dan L. Trotter officiating.  A private family interment will follow the service in Sumter Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday, November 2, 2023, from 11:00 – 12:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
