Raymond Harley Ziecker

Sumter, SC…………………….. Raymond Harley Ziecker, age 91, beloved husband of the late Carol Ziecker, died on Tuesday, March 18th, 2025 at NHC Healthcare Sumter.

Mr. Ziecker was born in Buffalo, NY, a son of the late Erich Ziecker and Laura Hayden Ziecker. He enjoyed all sports, especially golf and was an avid Clemson fan. He was fond of his time with his breakfast buddies at the Guignard Diner. He loved his family, his church family at St. James Lutheran Church, and Jesus Christ.

Survivors are: One son, Matthew Ziecker and his wife Karen of Start, LA; Two daughters, Debra Rabon and Renay Russell and her husband BJ, all of Sumter, SC; Six grandchildren, Janet Wallick, David Bryan, Jr. and his wife Alane, Betsy Blazier and her husband Adam, Mark Rabon, Adam Russell and his wife Kaitlyn, and Gregory Ziecker; and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a daughter, Lynne Russo.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 25th, 2025 at 1:00pm at St. James Lutheran Church with the Rev. Scott Landrum officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 12:00-1:00pm, Tuesday, March 25th, 2025 at St. James Lutheran Church.
