Rex L, Boyd, Sr.

Rex L. Boyd, Sr., 71, of Sumter, died peacefully, Wednesday, December 9, 2020. Born January 10, 1949 in Jonesville, NC he was a son of the late James W. and Jerry Wright Boyd. Rex retired from Santee Print and was an avid fisherman. He adored his family, especially his wife, the late Dona Jones Boyd.

Survivors include his sons, Rex L. Boyd, Jr. (Katherine) of Sumter Shane L Boyd of Union, Paul J. Boyd (Michelle) of Newburn, NC, and Bryce O. Boyd (Jessica) of Lugoff; grandchildren, Houston Boyd (Jessica) Dylan, Jake, Jackson, Gabby, Avery and Ella; three greet-grandchildren, Brayson, Brennen and Breleigh Dona; a brother, Jimmy Boyd (Cathy) of Chesnee; and a sister, Mary Sanders (Ray) of Union.
