Sumter, SC…. Robert Dustin Burleson, age 43, died on, Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at his home.
Robert, affectionately known as Dusty, was born in Sumter, SC a son of Robert Andrew Burleson and Jo Taylor Williams. Dusty loved art and drawing and loved working with his hands. He worked with his father for several years as a carpenter. He was known as a sweet and kind spirit who was accepting of everyone he met. He also loved animals, especially his dog. He will be remembered as a loving son, brother, and uncle. Dusty will be sorely missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Dusty is survived by his mother Jo Taylor Wiliams and her husband Cameron of California, his father; Robert Andrew Burleson of Sumter, his brother; Jeremiah LaTroy Burleson and his wife Maryanne of California, his nephew; Cayden Burleson, and his niece, Laylani Burleson.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Virginia Anne Taylor and Harry Edwin Taylor, and his paternal grandparents; Robert Jack Burleson and Peggy Jean Burleson.
A memorial service will be held at the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 3:00.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00-3:00 pm on Sunday, May 18, 2025.
