Robert Carrol Cutter

Sumter, SC … Robert Carrol Cutter, Age 86, beloved husband of Lucy Rivera Cutter, died on Friday, June 4, 2021 at his residence.

Born in Winchester, New Hampshire, he was the son of the late Vernard C. Cutter and Marion E. Hattie.  Mr. Cutter retired from the US Air Force as a Master Sergeant after 21 years of service; while on active duty he worked with Strategic Air Command.  After leaving the military Robert worked with the City of Riverside, California from which he also retired.  Following that retirement, he worked as a pilot-oversize load escort and auto mechanic with Dave’s Garage.

In addition to his wife, Lucy, of Sumter, SC he is survived by sons, Robert Carrol Cutter III and his wife Cindy, James B. Morales and his wife Sara Monks, Robert J. Morales and his wife, Blanca; and Rafael Lopez and his wife, Kim; daughters Deborah Jo Cutter and husband Sam, Katherine Hattie Cutter, Linda Carol Cutter, Lucy E. Marquez, Nancy Green and her husband Robert, Nilza Alonzo and husband Jose Alonzo Ruiz; brothers Joseph Marshall Cutter and his wife Lynda and Carl Cutter; grandchildren, Robin Cutter, Robert Carrol Cutter IV, James Morales, David Wildman, Robert Morales, Adam Becker, Barnaby Morales, Jonathan Morales, Miguel Jimenez, Jason Jimenez, Nicholas Marquez, Adrian Marquez, Christopher Lopez, Alexxe Lopez-Kirshenbaum and Irving Morales; and many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandchildren, Susan McDevitt and Christopher Jimenez.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Bullock Funeral Home with military honors beginning at 12:30 p.m.
