Robert Dean Haynes

Sumter, SC…Robert Dean Haynes, age 80, beloved husband of Geraldine Helen Parker Haynes, died on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at Prisma Health Tuomey.

Born in Osceola, Missouri, he was the son of the late Harry Frederick Haynes and Sylvia Ellen Larkey Haynes. Mr. Haynes retired from the US Air Force as an aircraft mechanic. He enjoyed woodworking and building things. He was known for giving out $2 bills.  He will be remembered as a very loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend. He was the “best” and will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Surviving in addition to his wife Geraldine of Sumter; are one son, Ronald Lee Haynes and his wife Janet of Sumter; three daughters, Danita Kaye Haynes (Sumner) and her husband Howard of Sumter, Debra Lynn Haynes Miller and her husband John of Pittsburgh, PA, and Darla Ellen Haynes Greenwald and her husband Robert of Sumter; three stepsons, Barry Coeburn and his wife Kathy of Randleman, NC, Gerald Dewayne Coeburn of Ashboro, NC, and Kerry Layne Parker and his wife Tammy of Colorado Springs, CO; one brother, Leo Haynes of California and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and seven brothers.

A private military service will be held for the family.

The family will be receiving friends at his home.
