Roland Cecil Floyd

Sumter, SC………… Roland Cecil Floyd, age 70, beloved husband of 47 years to the late Carolyn Diane Floyd, passed away on Saturday, February 7th, 2026 at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

Roland was born in Moncks Corner, SC, a son of the late Cecil DeLus Floyd and Rosalee Anderson Russell. He was a diehard Carolina Gamecock fan, who loved fishing and camping. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and uncle.  

Survivors are: One son, Jeffrey Cecil Floyd and his wife Gretchen of Summerton, SC; One daughter, Ashley Nichole Floyd of Sumter, SC; One brother, Edward Floyd and his wife Betty of Sumter, SC; Two sisters, Wanda Simpson and her husband Gary of Sumter, SC and Rhonda Smith and her husband Chad of Sumter, SC; Four grandchildren,  Banks Bullard, Isabella Floyd, Noah Floyd, and Lillian Floyd; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and a brother, HD Floyd.

Services will be private.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm, Wednesday, February 11th, 2026 at Bullock Funeral Home.
