Rosemary Ann (Dusterhoft) Habberstad

Sumter, SC……………….. Rosemary Ann Habberstad, age 86, beloved wife of 65 years to Verle D. Habberstad, died on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at her home.

Mrs. Habberstad was born in Minneapolis, MN, a daughter of the late Donald Elmer Dusterhoft and Lillian Louise Olson Dusterhoft Lundberg. She was a home health nurse for 22 years. She was an avid seamstress and loved to teach people how to sew. Rosemary was a Sunday School teacher at Alice Drive Baptist Church and went on mission trips to Africa and Honduras.

Surviving in addition to her husband are: Three sons, David Verle Habberstad, Douglas Lee Habberstad, and Daryl Lloyd Habberstad; One daughter, Dawn Louise Habberstad; One sister, Gretchen Colander; seven grandchildren, Kristan Grace Habberstad, Kyle David Habberstad, Rebekah Ruth Staley, Hannah Louise Staley-Smith, Rachael Marie Marshall, Joshua Aaron Staley, and Joelle Hope Staley; and two great-grandchildren, Ryder James Smith and Harley Cameron Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, June 23rd, 2025, at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery with Dr. Clay Smith officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00am – 12:00pm on Monday, June 23rd, 2025, at Bullock Funeral Home.
